On Wednesday 14th August 2013, Head of Jotun India, Mr. Richard Chapman hosted a high tea meeting for NBAI Board and Member at the company’s head office in Mumbai. At the meeting Mr.Chapman gave a presentation of Jotun’s 5 years India experience. Members attending the meeting also had the opportunity to discuss current affairs with H.E. Jotun is internationally ranked as the 9th biggest paint manufacturer. From the presentation we learned that as a Norwegian is using 22 liter paint per year, an Indian is using 2 liter. On a number of huge infrastructure projects in India, like Delhi Metro, and many ships also in the Indian Navy; Jotun paint is the one giving color and protection. Jotun has production plant in Pune and 4 branch offices in India.
The Jotun presentation was followed by brief interventions by participating members, and the Ambassador gave a brief orientation about the upcoming general election in Norway.
