NBAI hosted seminar on the Union Budget Monday 9 March 2015 in Mumbai with experts from Deloitte and Axis Bank
India’s Union Budget for 2015-16 is set to be presented on February 28, 2015. This will be the first full budget of the NDA government which assumed office in May 2014 and the buzz and expectations around this budget are something we haven’t experienced in several years. From large corporates to grocery shop owners, from high networth individuals to the common man on the street, they are all looking at the finance minister with huge expectations. Will the government bite the bullet and shun populist measures once and for all? Shall we decisively move towards a stable tax regime? Will the government stick to its commitments on fiscal deficit target? What is in it for the foreign investors?
To look for answers and discuss all of these questions, NBAI is happy to invite you to a session on deciphering the Union Budget, 2015. We are please to have with us Mr. Saugata Bhattacharya, Senior Vice President and Chief Economist, Axis Bank who will deliver the keynote address on what the budget means to business especially from the perspective of foreign investors. Following this Mr. C. A. Gupta, Senior Partner, Taxation from Deloitte will discuss the taxation proposals of the finance minister and how they impact multinational corporates.
The session will be facilitated by NBAI Board member Mr Ashish Gupta, Chief Representative Handelsbanken and end with a Q&A session followed by a buffet lunch.
