RELEASE OF THE BUSINESS CLIMATE SURVEY-2016-Mumbai/Delhi/Norway
To assess the current and near future business climate for Norwegian companies with specific focus of the Maritime sector, Team Norway launched a Business Climate Survey to gather opinions on sentiments on the state of economy.
The survey was launched by Mr. Subhash Desai, State Industries Minister for Maharashtra in Mumbai on 23rd November, 2016 with successive releases in Delhi by Ambassador of Norway, H.E Mr. Nils Ragnar Kamsvag
The economic ties between Norway and India are growing, and increasingly driven by trade in services. The Norwegian maritime companies are very optimistic (96% of them) about the maritime sector growing in next 5 years. This optimism is largely because of the steps taken and projects initiated by the present Indian government.
Some areas where we see survey shows alot of potential for both countries to work together are Sustainable Shipping, Small Scale Distribution of LNG and Smart Societies.
The Maiden Launch of Business Climate Survey for Norwegian companies in India was presented at NHO in Oslo on 11th January, 2017.
The BCS release in Oslo was exceedingly well received with an impressive count of 110 plus delegates eager to know more about India as a prospective investment destination.
We were privileged to have the presence of H.E. Debraj Pradhan, Ambassador of India to Norway as the Chief of Honour for the release.
The analysis of the survey was introduced by Director Innovation Norway, Mr. Helge Tryti.
