Recently, the Norwegian Business Association India took an initiative and arranged a roundtable meeting with the Goa Investment Promotion & Facilitation Board.
The meeting was held on the video conferencing platform and was attended by Dr. Pramod Sawant – the Honourable Chief Minister of Goa , Ms. Vandana Rao, IAS – Ceo – GIPBS, Mr. J. Ashok Kumar, Secretary- Industries, Commander B.B Nagpal – CMD Goa Shipyard.
From the Norwegian perspective the webinar was important and was attended by His Excellency Ambassador, Mr. Hans Jacob Fredunlynd , Consul General , Mr. Arne Yan Flolo , Innovation Norway , Director Dr. Maan Singh Sidhu, Ms. Kristine Anvik Leach, Chairwoman – NBAi and all the members of the Norwegian Business Association India.
The meeting started with a positive note and with a presentation on the “Investment opportunities in Goa”, the various sectors which can be looked into for possible collaborations between Goa and the Norwegian companies, indicating a positive signal to the economies of both the countries; India & Norway.
Dr. Sawant (Hon. CM – Goa) gave a special address during the meeting and encouraged the Norwegian companies to look and develop sectors in Goa, including Maritime, Ship building, Waste management, Renewable energy, A.I, etc.
Ms. Vandana Rao, IAS (CEO – GIPB) also gave a special presentation to all the stakeholders of the meeting.
Cmdr. B B Nagpal also expressed interest in working jointly with the Norwegian companies.
H.E Ambassador also expressed interest in building a strong business relations with the State of Goa, Consul General Mr. Arne Jan Flolo, is looking forward to develop sectors like fisheries, waste management, etc. and Dr. Maan Singh Sidhu, acting Director, Innovation Norway also explained the already existing network between Goa and Norway and the way ahead.
Ms. Kristine Anvik Leach , Chairwoman, NBAI, presented the NBAI set up and network.
