A large share of Norwegian companies present in India are situated in Maharasthra and its capital Mumbai. Mumbai is Indias financial hub. It is the headquarter for the larger Indian companies, banks and finance institutions. The Central Bank and the National Stock Exchange is situated here.
The Consulate General´s area of responsibility covers the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa. These three states combined contribute to almost a third of India’s GDP. The Norwegian Consulate General in Mumbai is working to promote business collaboration between our two countries and to promote Norwegian export.
The Consulate General aim to connect businesses and people. We facilitate contacts and we create meeting places. We do this in close cooperation with NBAI and with the Embassy, Innovation Norway, and Norwep. Together we are Team Norway.
