The latest meeting of the Norwegian Business Association India (NBAI) covered a range of topics and future plans.
The Nordic India Summit, initially set for October, has been postponed with new dates to be announced. The Embassy is undergoing significant restructuring, including forming a new economic team to focus on business promotions in India. A strategic plan for Team Norway is in progress, with further details to be shared with NBAI soon.
During ARENDALSUKA Week, an India Day event featured major business discussions and networking. The results from the business climate survey can be expected at the NBAI Annual General Meeting (AGM).
NBAI has seen five new members join.
The AGM will include elections for three new board members, with an emphasis on increasing gender diversity. A sector-wise ownership by Board Members will be introduced to provide focused oversight and strategic direction for different industries. There are plans for a seminar on geopolitics at the AGM. The audited accounts for the year ending March 31, 2024, will be adopted at the AGM. The Norway India Business Connect event is scheduled for November, details of the same will be discussed at the AGM.
Overall, the meeting underscored NBAI’s commitment to enhancing business relations and member engagement.
